box, or tureen, and cover naturalistically modelled seated in a basket
of flowers and leaves, including roses and narcissus. Red anchor period Ht: 3.2 ", 8.1 cm c.1754-5 Ref: Elizabeth adams, Chelsea Porcelain. fig. 8.6 for one in the British Museum. NB. this has some damage and restoration. Small tureens were a featured in the Chelsea sale catalogue of 1755. |
