A Chelsea dish painted in the Kakiemon style with florets in iron red, yelow, blue and turquoise, with a central flower head. Diam: 4.5", 11.4 cm c.1752-3 The shape is a direct copy of a Japanese form. The yellow is very pale which is typical of Chelsea Kakiemon patterns at this time. |
