A Chelsea coffee cup and saucer beautifuly decorated with birds between gilded mazarine blue panels. D: 4.75", 12 cm Mark: gold anchor c.1760-65 This cup and saucer typifies Chelsea rococo style at its best. NB. the saucer has a restored chip and associated fine crack (see image below), the cup has a short, very fine crack.
