decorated Chinese teabowl painted with a Neo-classical vase in green
enamel. Diam: 2.4", 7.5 cm. The image is taken from a book of engravings by Matthias Darly, published by Robert Sayer in August 1770 ( with grateful acknowledgment to Sir Timothy Clifford who recognised the source and kindly sent the image of the Darly engraving). |
