A Chinese teapot decorated in London in famille verte colours with peonies, other flowers and Buddhist emblems beneath a comples border.

The thick enamels disguise the underglaze blue Chinese design, and using famille rose colours made the tepot more fashionable when the blue designs were beginning to go out of style.
